The Four Bridges Country Club in West Chester has a nicely lit waterfall. There's a yellow light on the left and a blue light on the right. The color you see in the middle is a mesh between the two.
This is a 30-second long exposure. I am happy that I caught the car in the back too!
Great capture! The colors are very eye catching, and I love the reflection on the water. The car's red light adds some interest to the backround. The surrounding foliage is pretty and gives off a very low key, relaxing vibe. The long exposure look very smooth and lovely, awesome job on that. One of the things that I think could have been tweaked is the distracting lights that line the road. They take away from the colors of the waterfall, and because there's so much sky in the photo, your eyes have to search to find the main focus. Maybe you could have taken the photo at an angle instead of straight on? Just a suggestion if you ever go back to this serene spot.
Overall, you've got an awesome photo here! A few tweaks and it could be even better.
This is a very nice picture, I enjoy how you've used the reflection. The only thing I could suggest is to perhaps edit the sky, it doesn't exactly fit with the other half of the picture.
Thank you! I may re-visit this spot. It was nicer in the summer though... still water. Now it's all windy and the ripples ruin the reflection even with a longer exposure.
I really like the colors come together, gives very good visual effect, something else would be better lit at the top but that is outside the scope of the situation.
Thank you! I actually burned some of the top off, because it looked a little too noisy. The D3000 does that sometimes... and this is one of my rookie photos when I didn't know I could control the ISO haha.
