Although the main subject, ie the chairs, are relatively small and does not necessarily dominate the frame, one's eyes are nevertheless immediately drawn to them. The use of horizontal lines and negative space naturally draw one's line of vision through this image, and the nearly perfect copies of the chairs reflected in the water are so evocative of tranquility, I cannot help but wish I were there right now.
The deeper meaning of two souls whiling away the hours with no distractions, silently enjoying each other's company is evident and ever-present--enhancing the tranquility and providing a depth of meaning beyond just a compelling composition.
"Together forever, whether we are dead or alive" is the best way to describe this picture. The photo is itself quite simple, but holds a powerful impact if you use your imagination enough. People may think this photo is just two chairs lined up early morning at the beach but think deeply about it. Imagine a couple sitting there everyday always together and even when the couple's lives have ended. Those chairs resemble them. Resembling the memories they made and shared together, preserving their existence. I can just imagine the couple sitting there and laughing together whether or not we can see them.
The tools you used to enhance this photo is amazing. From the early bright sky's to the to the lines of the waters swiveling up the surface of the sand is absolutely gorgeous. I'll be completely honest, I have seen a fair amount of pictures with a simple chair or chairs lined with an environment or person sitting on it. I would say that its slightly generic, but I think that's just me knit picking.
Anyways, mr. Kris Vlad I hope you find this critique helpful even while I'm not the best when it comes to criticizing other people's work.
