The Mirror

This piece of work immediately caught my eye. It is extremely effective and the impact of the piece hits you straight in the face. I often see artwork similar to this (many in photograph format) but this is a lot more original.

"The Mirror" is an excellent title for this work. The way I saw it, it is almost as if the character is trying to escape from themselves. Maybe they are hiding in a fake identity or are painfully insecure about their appearance? But the person in the piece doesn't have a name or identity - it makes the picture very eerie and mysterious, two appealing things in mine and many others minds.
