I clicked on this deviation from the big watch list I had to review, because I really liked the strict rule of thirds. This is a very traditional approach to art, but I like that you still managed to add some asymmetrical balance by framing the boat in the lower right corner. My eye went directly to the boat... it's a very small part of the overall piece, but the contrast is from the pure white is overpowering on top of the cyan blue ocean.
It's a good shot. It's not "amazing" but it is good. My only gripe is that it appears a little soft. It may have turned out sharper if you were shooting at f/11 or higher. I'd love to see more detail in the water and feel the depth.
I can see this being used commercially as a post card from a coastal resort.
Pretty! I love the watercolor feel to the piece, and the vast, endless ocean really draws the eye to the small sailboat. The colors are vibrant, yet not glaringly so, and the gentle changes in color in the clouds looks amazing. Great work, as always!
