This beautiful Monarch posed for me for a couple of seconds minutes before he flew off to a distant flower.

Firstly, I love the low depth of field you used by opening up the aperture. Secondly, the color contrast between the reddish orange butterfly wings against the green (blurred) background is excellent with a splash of purple. You could not have choreographed a better setup. Thirdly, I like the composition of the shot. You positioned the butterfly in such a way that it draws your eye to it but not in such a way to not allow one's eyes to recognize the environment. I can't think of a thing that you could have done to improve on this shot. Excellent.

Pretty, I love the angle and vivid colors! The focus is great, and the background is beautiful, yet not at all distracting.
The blurred leaves look like brush strokes on a canvas, and the butterfly is positioned in a perfect spot on the frame.
Great shot! :D
