Description

I met this little cutie at the Wings of Wonder show at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.

Macaws are brilliantly-colored, neotropical parrots. They are intelligent, social birds that communicate with each other through loud squawks and screams. Long, flexible toes help the macaw hold onto branches and manipulate objects. The macaw uses its strong beak as both a nutcracker and a ‘third foot’ for climbing.

a stunning shot! its VERY difficult to photograph animals because as soon as you get your camera 90% of the time they always do something to ruin the picture. (I know from experiance)
However you managed it perectly, you can see the feathers and face clearly and the background isnt destracting.
you took it at the perfect moment when you can see all the birds feathers sticking up from its neck and the skin on its face.
this is a picture which you could win a animal photography competition with.
I personally think that this is all round very very good.
